Meet Krishan Verma

Sri Sri Yoga Teacher Certification courses are taught by Krishan Verma, International Director of Sri Sri Yoga. Interested in yoga since childhood, Krishan learned yoga from various disciplines and completed advanced yoga training, certified as ‘Yoga Shiromani’ (Supreme Jewel of Yoga). Still not satisfied, he was missing the real experience of yoga. This real experience dawned twenty-five years ago when he met his spiritual guru and yoga master, Sri Sri Ravishankar, founder of the Art of Living Foundation. Krishan founded the Sri Sri Yoga International program in 2001 under the direction of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the namesake and creator of the Sri Sri Yoga course. A close disciple of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Krishan brings a depth of knowledge and grace attained through years of study and practice with his enlightened master. Krishan’s vast experience and wisdom permeates the entire teacher training courses, guiding his students to capture the true experience of yoga through the outer study of the ancient discipline and the inner study of the self. His charm and allure is undeniable. A true yogi in action, he is sought worldwide for his Sri Sri Yoga teacher training courses and yoga courses. He teaches a number of training courses each year, having taught in centers in Canada, Germany, Poland, Russia, Mongolia, Australia, Taiwan, Malaysia, South Africa, India and China.

An electrical engineer by profession, he resigned in 1999 to become a full-time Art of Living teacher. In addition to running and teaching Sri Sri Yoga, Krishan teaches Art of Living courses Part 1, Part 2 and the Sahaj Samadhi meditation course. He is also President of Ved Vignan Mahavdyapeeth, an Art of Living organization committed to bringing about a scientific reappraisal of traditional knowledge and utilizing it for the benefit of all humanity.
